Faculty Letter of Agreement​
City Seminary of Sacramento is unique among seminaries, committed to pastors training pastors. We also take the Reformed confessions seriously. Since 2020, we have offered classes online, which has enabled us to work with both faculty and students throughout North and South America. As the scope of our programs has broadened, the Board of Governors is committed, as we believe you are, to maintaining our confessional standards, which constantly seeking to improve technologically, pedagogically, and pastorally.
To these ends, we will annually ask you, in addition to the Public Confession which all faculty have signed dating back to our founding, to affirm your commitment to the confessions of your denomination, and well as to agree that you are keeping current with seminary policies. In particular, please affirm the following:

City Seminary of Sacramento agrees as follows:

  1. We will maintain the highest biblical and confessional standards, God willing.
  2. We will provide compensation, typically, in monthly installments.
  3. We will attempt to let professors know as soon as possible the scheduling of future classes, and whether we will be asking you to consider teaching in specific upcoming trimesters.
  4. We will treat you, our other faculty, and our staff with respect, patience, and Christian love.
  5. We will seek to heed the constructive counsel and suggestions of our faculty, to the ends that we treat you fairly, and that together we constantly improve pastoral training.

  1. I continue to agree, without reservation, with the confessions of my church as indicated below.
  2. I have read the Faculty Handbook.
  3. I will endeavor to submit my CHE and syllabus in a timely manner, and receive suggested changes from the Academic Standards Committee in a spirit of mutual submission among brethren.
  4. I understand that I am an at-will employee (if a CA resident), or independent contractor. Compensation is agreed upon on a trimester-by-trimester basis and includes an agreement to faithfully complete your assigned class, including submission of grades in a timely manner.
  5. I will pray with and for my students, to the end that their studies are accompanied by genuine spiritual development.
City Seminary of Sacramento agrees as follows:
